This weekend is highlighted by significant content on food cravings and biochemical imbalance, women’s relationship with food, fatty acid supplementation in weight loss plans and a comprehensive effective/safe weight loss plan.  In addition, there will be a focus on prescription medical management of type 2 diabetes including oral hypoglycemic agents as well as insulin medications.  Other pharmacy hours include compounded specialty medications in primary care such as topical analgesics, topical anti-inflammatories, dermatologic specialty creams and immune modulation products.  Naturopathic psychiatry, melatonin in women’s health, women and autoimmune disease, and an ethics lecture on informed consent complete the robust weekend with a total of 18.5 hours of CME which includes 6 hours of pharmacy, 2 hours of ethics and 10.5 hours of general CME.
