Practice Development Resources for Members Bridghid McMonagle, OANP Board Director
The OANP is excited to announce, after popular demand, that we are adding a Practice Development section to our website. Our board has pulled together useful forms for starting your practice and some practice tips. We will soon have a section that will allow you to download and edit forms for your own practice. This will be available for OANP members.
We want to support students who are gathering information to start their practice, new graduates, and those that needed some quick resources. We will have new patient visit intake examples, consent to treat forms, clinic policy forms and much more! We will also have helpful hints for starting your practice.
Do you have anything in your practice you would like to share? Is there anything that would have helped you when you started? Let’s stop recreating the wheel! Even with EHR in use in my clinic, I still need to have forms signed and uploaded to the chart.
There will also be several board members at NCNM’s community hour on October 3rd to discuss with students the variations that exist amongst ND’s in practice. Do you want to own your a clinic? Is it better to be an employee, an independent contractor, or a renter? What are some things to watch out for in contracts?
Practice Development has become a larger priority for the board in 2014 and moving forward. As every ND becomes successful, so will our field of medicine as a whole! Please send any documents that you find particularly useful in your practice that you don’t mind sharing to Bridghid McMonagle.
