CE & License Renewal Requirements:

Oregon Board of Naturopathic Medicine and California Naturopathic Doctors Association for 15.75 total hours of CEU, with 14.25 applicable as pharmacy.

Pharmacy CE not needed for that requirement may also be used as General CE. The event is a total of 17.25 hours of coursework, but only the above approvals may be applied to your CEU license requirements.

Speaker Bios:

Mona Morstein, ND

Southwest College of Naturopathic Medicine & Health Sciences

Dr. Morstein is a naturopathic physician with extensive diabetic expertise in naturopathic medicine. Dr. Morstein has mentored with a T1DM and diabetologist, Dr. Richard Bernstein in N.Y., who is author of a highly regarded book on diabetes "Dr. Bernstein’s Diabetes Solution.”

Dr. Morstein has been interviewed by MSNBC on using alternative medicine for diabetes, and has spoken at conferences including: Arizona Dept of Health Gestational Diabetes Seminar, ADA Phoenix Exposition, and numerous international naturopathic conferences. Dr. Morstein, in addition to her private practice, is the Department Head for Nutrition at the Southwest College of Naturopathic Medicine.

She is a dynamic speaker, adept at blending the nitty gritty science of insulin with humor and years of case studies.


  Dan & Sally Roman

The Romans are the proud parents of 2 type 1 diabetic children who have successfully managed their disease entirely by lifestyle changes. Dan & Sally offer consultations, recipe e-books, a home study course, workshops and support to people with types 1 and 2 diabetes. They collaborate with health care professionals and educate people on the practical application of lifestyle solutions to help minimize or eliminate the need for insulin and other medications.


Julia Hanfling, RD, CDE

Julia is a Dietician and Diabetes Educator, and has over 20 years of experience teaching patients how to implement diet and lifestyle changes as part of a diabetes diagnosis. She has a special interest in approaching the psychological issues surrounding diabetes. She helps patients with all aspects of diabetes, including: Type 1 & Type 2, gestational, prediabetes, and metabolic syndrome.
