What is a PAC?
PAC stands for Political Action Committee. A political action committee is a government regulated organization that anyone can form to raise money for political campaign donations. The Friends of Naturopathic Medicine Political Action Committee helps those legislators who support Naturopathic medicine. Political support is needed to obtain the necessary legislation to protect you and the public's right to Naturopathic health care.
We are working to replenish our PAC funds to continue to do the legislative work around pay parity, and future legislative issues.
It's a Refundable Tax Credit***
If you owe the state of Oregon more than $50/$100 for your taxes, you may deduct that entire $50/$100 donation from the taxes that you would have paid the state. Direct your tax dollars toward better health care!
Political Action Committee (PAC) contributions are 100 percent refundable from the amount you owe on your state of Oregon income tax returns, up to $50 (filing singly) or $100 (married filing jointly). This is a tax credit, not a deduction, so is taken directly off of your taxes owed. Take full advantage of using "tax-owed" dollars to fund the Friends of Naturopathic Medicine PAC! Please consult your tax advisor about whether you qualify for the tax credit.
