CCO 2.0 – Patient Communications

Much is changing with CCO 2.0 and the OANP is working hard behind the scenes to make sure that NDs are part of the overall process and that patients are being notified of changes.

In an effort to help our NDs provide adequate communications to their patients who are part of a CCO, we are forwarding along patient and provider resources for those that need to change their CCO plans.

PATIENT RESOURCES:
CCO 2.0 member communications and resources for October and November

OHP is “matching” members with a CCO based on the behavioral health and primary care providers they see now. Members who want to keep their matched plan don’t have to do anything. They will be automatically enrolled in the matched CCO.

Members who want to change their plan will be able to make a choice between Oct. 16 and Nov. 17 online, over the phone, or with the help of a community partner. Plans will start Jan. 1, 2020. Members will have another opportunity to change CCOs from Jan. 1 to March 31, 2020.

Mailings and outreach materials
OHA started its CCO 2.0 outreach in September with its first mailing to OHP members in areas with CCO choices. We also launched a new webpage and started sharing social media messages.

Members who have choices to make about their CCO plan will receive a letter from OHP with instructions on how to pick a plan. Letters started being mailed on Oct. 15.

The letter will include each member’s matched plan, other available choices and instructions on how to tell OHP their choice. The mailing will also include a comparison guide to help members compare their CCO choices. Members can tell OHP their choice online, over the phone, or with the help of a community partner.

OHA has also developed an online CCO search tool that includes information about all CCOs that will go live on Oct. 16. Community partners and others who work closely with OHP members can also download a “Pick Your Plan” flyer to post in their offices.
