A Word from our New OANP President,
Dr. Kaley Bourgeois
Thank you to all of our members for so warmly welcoming me into the role of OANP president. My name is Dr. Kaley Bourgeois and I began my work on the OANP board in 2013 after completing my education at the now renamed National University of Natural Medicine. I currently practice full time at Lake Oswego Health Center, just south of Portland.
My passion for our medicine motivated me to join the OANP in an effort to support the expansion of our profession. We are blessed with a state association which works non-stop to keep naturopathic medicine accessible and support us in providing those services. I am looking forward to seeing what we will achieve in the upcoming years. As we complete our 5 year strategic plan, two specific goals excite me the most. The first is our ongoing legislative push for pay parity and protecting our right to practice how we choose. The second is prioritizing ways to further unify our professional community via shared knowledge and respect.
I realize that we are entering into a new era with the COVID-19 emergency, and we are working quickly to put together resources to make sure you have the information you need to continue to practice. Know that the OANP board is here to support you during this challenging time and beyond, and we value all of the work that you are doing in the community.
It is an honor to serve as your OANP president, and I look forward to getting to know more of our community members. For feedback and questions, please write to firstname.lastname@example.org
