Dear Community Members,
I am excited to announce that I have joined the OANP as the Interim Executive Director. I would like to take this opportunity to introduce myself. I began working with the OANP nearly a decade ago and have held a variety of positions, including Marketing Manager, Interactive Creative and Communications Manager, and more recently as a Physician Consultant. I am a licensed Naturopathic Physician and Acupuncturist and believe this will serve as an added benefit with addressing naturopathic legislative issues, member interactions, and local, regional, and national public outreach.
I feel so fortunate to be able to work with such a hard-working, enthusiastic, and downright fun staff as well as a dedicated and supportive group of board and committee members. The OANP truly is an amazing team!
I would like to thank our outgoing Executive Director, Beth Martin. I am so thankful that I have had the opportunity to get to know and work with Beth over the last three years. I am grateful for her continued dedication to this organization and her amazing mentorship as I step into this new role. I only hope to steer this ship as well as she has!
My goals over the next few months include working on advancing OANP’s strategic plan, working with the board and executive committee to perform an administrative review to evaluate staffing and workload, assessing board oversight and committee involvement, and moving forward on pay parity for the 2021 legislative session. We will also be forming an Executive Director search committee, providing ongoing updates as we move towards a new hire in the coming months, and selecting a new ED after our Annual Conference in November.
I hope to have the opportunity to get to know you — our doctors, corporate partners, and community supporters — over the next few months and at our upcoming Annual Conference. I appreciate your continued support of the OANP!
