Healing is a Family Affair: The Stargroves and their WellSpring of Natural Health

Tuesday, November 19, 2024   (0 Comments)

Whether you’ve been in the northwest naturopathic scene for a few months or a few decades, you’re probably familiar with the name, Stargrove. But if you aren’t, welcome to the cadre!

Drs. Mitchell and Lori Stargrove have been members with OANP for nearly twenty years, and in that time, we have seen them bring other NDs into the fold, guide, educate, and support the natural healing community, and celebrate the triumphs of those contributing to the foundation and legitimacy of naturopathic medicines and care.

Dr. Mitch, as he’s better known, is a student of medical history and anthropology, group process, systems biology, self-organizing systems, archetypal psychology, mythology, alchemy, shamanism, comparative religion, history of medicine, European folk medicine traditions, cultural history, evolution of consciousness, qigong, yoga, music and antiquarian books. A fantastic resource showcasing his amalgamation of independent study can be found at Nature’s Medicine Through Time . He is also currently teaching Philosophy and History at the University of Western States.

Dr. Lori Stargrove approaches her work as a mother, wife, teacher, and a student of life. She  heartily believes that it “takes a village [to raise a child]”. In our village, she is a community advocate, a medical practitioner, and a fierce networker. As a licensed physician, Dr. Lori believes her role is to facilitate the healing that can come from within, by way of self-discovery and healthy choices. “I facilitate people in growth, life, and health by employing in my practice: pattern recognition, homeopathy, botanical medicine, food therapies, and council.” ~ Dr. Lori Stargrove.

The Stargroves raised their family in this collaborative healing community and as they have proudly and humbly introduced us to their third generation of Stargroves, so too have they launched their curated selection of health-promoting offerings, known as VitalGoods.

“They’re an amazing family. The clinic feels like family. They have a continual patient base and are well-respected in the community. It’s been an amazing experience to be with them.”  ~ Marilyn, Patient and Insurance Billing Manager ( who has worn many other hats in her 30 years working with the Stargroves ).
