Every year at our annual conference, we not only say goodbye to the last year and ring in the new, we also give our thanks to outgoing board members, and welcome those new ones who are stepping into leadership roles.
OANP is so fortunate to have NDs that volunteer as board members and share time, their knowledge, provide input, and help steer the association in directions that strengthen the naturopathic profession. Our board is incredibly stable, and has a healthy balance of directors who have served multiple years, and new members that bring new ideas and energy to the association.
It is with absolute appreciation that we say thank you for the many thoughts, ideas, perspectives and countless hours of volunteer work to Dr. Padeen Quinn (At-Large Board Member). Dr. Quinn has been part of the board of directors since 2016, serving in many different roles, including CE committee and membership committee. We are so grateful for all of her years of service.
We are thrilled to welcome back Dr. Jeff Clark (Director At-Large), Dr. Rebecca Principe (Treasurer), Dr. Emma Neiworth-Petshow (now Director At-Large), and Dr. Kaley Bourgeois (Secretary) to the board. Thank you for your continued service to our community; we truly couldn't accomplish what we do without you.
We're extremely grateful to our three incoming board members, Dr. Maeghan Culver (Director At-Large), Dr. Mario Tarasco (Director At-Large), and our new NUNM Student Representative, Aubrey Corbett.

Maeghan Culver, ND - Dr. Maeghan is a primary care physician trained at Bastyr University and was awarded a highly sought two-year teaching residency position at the Bastyr Center for Natural Health, during which she focused on developing her skills in serving patients with complex care needs. She has been on the OANP membership committee for the last two years, gaining insight into the major issues facing NDs and the crucial role the OANP plays in protecting and supporting the profession.
Mario Tarasco, ND - Mario Tarasco is a licensed naturopathic physician completing his first year residency at NUNM. Dr. Tarasco received his doctorate of naturopathic medicine in 2018 at NUNM. On his journey to becoming a physician, Dr. Tarasco studied botanical medicine, completing two year-long apprenticeships in herbal medicine before completing his undergraduate degree. He would ultimately go on to graduate summa cum laude from Rochester Institute of Technology with a Bachelor of Science in biomedical science. Dr. Tarasco is passionate about health equity and primary care, and spent much of his clinical training providing care to those most in need at local Community Health Centers as well as NUNM's own Beaverton Health Center.
Aubrey Corbett - Aubrey graduated with her BS in Biology with a focus in Holistic Health in 2014 from Richard Stockton University in Pomona, New Jersey. Following graduation, she worked for a year as a substitute science teacher at various schools from grades K-12. Being from the beaches of southern New Jersey, Aubrey grew up surrounding herself with nature, understanding the healing powers of both the earth and the ocean. This passion continued to grow in her throughout her undergraduate studies and daily yoga practices until it took her all the way across the country to Portland, Oregon. Currently, Aubrey is a student of Naturopathic Medicine at the National University of Natural Medicine.
Please raise a toast, say a blessing, and give thanks to all these people that support the ND community, and help it to thrive.
